College & School Events

Services are available to those attending the college and school events who may require specific accommodations based on a disability. These services vary depending upon the specific venue in which the event will be held. Those with need of these services are asked to contact the college, school or department representative associated with the specific college or school hosting the event at least five business days prior


University-wide Ceremony

Accessible Shuttles

A free, accessible shuttle will transport guests with limited mobility from several points around the stadium. A shuttle map is available here.

Wheelchair-Accessible Seating

DKR-TMS features wheelchair-accessible seating throughout the stadium. Information regarding reserving a ticket for a wheelchair-accessible seat is available in the above ADA Guest Experience Guide. 

Sign Language Interpretation and Captioning

Closed captioning will be available on the Freddie Steinmark Scoreboard located in the stadium. ASL interpretation will also be available on the scoreboard via picture-in-picture video.

Q: Where can I find accessible restrooms at the university-wide ceremony?

A: Accessible stalls are available in all stadium restrooms. Event staff will be available to direct guests to the nearest restroom. 

Q: Where can I find a wheelchair for my family member or friend to use for the entire day?

The university is unable to provide wheelchairs for individual use. Those requiring wheelchairs or other supportive equipment for the duration of their time here in Austin should plan on making their own accommodations for the equipment prior to arriving on campus. Families interested in renting wheelchairs are encouraged to contact a local provider.
